Land scam probe widens in Visakhapatnam

Visakhapatnam: Widening its inquiry into the tampering of government and private land records in Vizag, the Special Investigation Team (SIT) has begun the probe into grabbing of around 315 acres of land belonging to Mansas Trust, formed by PVG Raju, father of Union Civil Aviation Minister P Ashok Gajapathi Raju.

Sources said that the SIT has taken up the probe following a complaint filed by executive officer of Simhachalam temple K. Ramachandra Mohan, who also holds additional charge as executive officer of Mansas Trust.

The complaint noted that Mansas Trust’s 315 acres of land are spread in the Padmanabham, Anandapuram and Bheemili areas in Vizag.
