Hyderabad priority for railway development

During Piyush Goyal recent visit to the city, the minister launched various programmes at the Secunderabad Railway Station.

The journey tickets have to be booked 15 metres away from the geo-fenced area of the train.

Hyderabad: The Railway Ministry has accorded priority to rail infrastructure development plans in and around Hyderabad city, focussing on the increasing needs of the rails users. It will also to increase the civic infrastructure of the burgeoning city.

Minister for Railways Piyush Goyal has taken the initiative to ensure that genuine demands of rail travellers and representations coming from various quarters are analysed and the feasible ones met. During his recent visit to the city, the minister launched various programmes at the Secunderabad Railway Station. He was forthcoming on the plea of public representatives and issued instructions to  officials for positively respond to the demands.

A major thrust has been given in enhancing the amenities at the Secunderabad Railway Station, including construction of fourth foot over bridge at amated cost of Rs 9 crore.
