HYDERABAD: The Bharatiya Janata Party on Tuesday urged the Election Commission to remove bogus voters from the voters list in the city and submitted a sample from Jubilee Hills Assembly constituency to buttress its argument.

A team of BJP leaders, led by the party’s central city unit president N. Gautam Rao, in a memorandum to the Chief Election Commissioner, said the party recognised bogus voters in all divisions of the Jubilee Hills constituency and urged that all such names be deleted from the voters lists.

“We found that some homes with no more than four rooms, have more than 100 votes. We gave the authorities a sample list of such homes and urged them to take action,” Gautam Rao said.
