Chandrababu Naidu moving court proves his guilt: YSRC
Why did Naidu move court if he was not involved in the case? the MLC asked.
Hyderabad: The YSR Congress on Thursday claimed that AP Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has proven his involvement in the cash-for-vote case by moving the High Court with a lunch motion petition on the ACB court order to reinvestigate the case.
YSRC MLC Ummareddy Venkateswarlu said that Mr Naidu’s voice was matched and certified by an accredited agency and that was why he moved the High Court. “His actions show that he is scared of order,” Mr Venkateswarlu said.
“Though Naidu had initially brushed aside the case describing it as a matter of no significance, when the ACB court gave directions under specific Sections and set a deadline, he got scared and moved the High Court as he was convinced that the matter would take a serious turn. Why did Naidu move court if he was not involved in the case?” the MLC asked.
Mr Venkateswarlu alleged that the decision to move court came close on the heels of a TD Union minister meeting BJP national president Amit Shah and Union ministers Arun Jaitley and M. Venkaiah Naidu in Delhi and later calling on the Governor at the Raj Bhavan.
“The sequence of events point towards the TD chief searching for an escape route and using people in high offices,” he said, adding: “We believe in the judiciary and hope that justice will be done in this case though on earlier occasions he wriggled out of cases against him.”
