Hyderabad: The day-long general strike called by major trade unions on Friday across the country will affect normal life in Telangana state.

The TS government administration would also come to a grinding halt with no functioning of offices as all employees’ associations have extended support to the bandh.

Government schools, colleges and universities will also not function with staff deciding to join the strike. However, private schools have not declared any holiday and have decided to take a call based on the situation on Friday morning. Autorickshaws, too, will be off the roads as unions extended support to the bandh.

However, the strike would not impact taxis, cabs, rail and flight services as workers there have not served any strike notice. Banks will not function as bank staff in both government and private sectors have decided to join the strike.
