Kannur University, employees on war
KUSO members are facing disciplinary actions including suspension, show cause memos and denial of increment.
Kannur: The indefinite hunger strike by Kannur University Staff Organization (KUSO) against the arbitrary disciplinary actions against them on political grounds entered 25th day on Saturday. They also protest against the failure of its vice-chancellor to talk to them even after three weeks.
KUSO president Jayan Chalil and general secretary K.P. Preman said in a press release that the VC was under pressure from the CPM members in the syndicate against talks with them. KUSO members are facing disciplinary actions including suspension, show cause memos and denial of increment.
Recently, four employees were denied increment on charges of leaking an inquiry report against T.V. Ramakrishnan, an assistant professor of mathematics, on a complaint of physical advances by three female students.
