Seminar on Mahatma Gandhi today at Bogadi

Mysuru: The Southern Regional Centre of the Anthropological Survey of India is hosting a one-day seminar on 'Mahatma Gandhi and Applied Anthropology' at its premises at Bogadi second stage here at 10 am on Tuesday to mark the 150th birth anniversary celebrations of the Father of the nation.
Retired IAS officer and former secretary to the government of India Mr V.V. Bhat, will be the chief guest and will deliver the keynote address. Retired professor P.K. Misra, president of the Anthropological Association, Mysuru, will speak on 'Ethnographic approach in understanding street vendors in Mysore city: A photo journey, a plea of research and documentation.' Mr M.N. Panini, former head of the Centre for the Study of Social Systems, Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi will speak on 'Mahatma Gandhi: An anthropological appreciation.'
