Bengaluru: Traffic curbs for Eid celebrations

In the wake of Eid Milad celebration on Sunday, the city traffic police have clamped restrictions on vehicle movements in some areas.

BENGALURU: In the wake of Eid Milad celebration on Sunday, the city traffic police have clamped restrictions on vehicle movements in some areas, where processions would be carried out.

All the processions starting from various parts of the city will assemble at Y.M.C.A. Ground on Nrupathunga Road to celebrating Id-Milad.

A heavy movement of vehicular traffic is expected at J.C.Road, R.R.M.R. Road, Kasturba Road, Devanga Road, Mallya Hospital Road and K.G.Road.

Hence, the following diversions have been made for the free flow of traffic:
All type of vehicles including pushcarts are prohibited on Saturday from 2 PM till concluding of programme on Nrupathunga Road from K.R. Circle to Police Corner.

2. Vehicles moving on Nrupathunga Road from K.R. Cricle should move inside Cubbon park towards Siddalingaiah Circle or take right turn at Central Library and move against traffic towards Hudson Circle and further ahead.

Vehicles coming from J.C. Road should move towards Police Corner – take right turn – K.G. Road and further ahead. And vehicles going towards Richmond Circle and Residency Road should move on P.K. Lane – O.T.C. Road – N.R. Circle – Devanga Junction – Mission Road and further ahead.

Vehicles coming from Richmond Road going towards K.G. Road, should move on R.R.M.R. Road – Hudson Circle – Police corner – K.G.Road and vehicles going towards Town Hall should take a right turn at Hudson Circle and move on N.R.Road.

5. Entry of all types of vehicles inside Cubbon park from Hudson Circle is prohibited.

6. Parking for two-wheelers is provided at P.W.D/Education department premises on Nrupathunga Road.
