Hyderabad: Justice K. Surender of the Telangana High Court on Thursday directed parties in a quash petition to appear before the State Legal Services Authority for verification of their claims of compromise and their identity.

The case pertains to a trainee constable, Srisailam, who was accused of rape under pretext of marriage by the complainant. It was pleaded before the court that the case was filed under a misunderstanding and the complainant and the accused had been leading a happy married life.

They were married after the training and hence the continuation of proceedings would amount to abuse of law.
