Tollywood actor Pawan Kalyan to inject life into Jana Sena
To address a meeting at Itchapuram to woo Kapus today.
RAJAHMUNDRY: With an eye on general elections in 2019, noted Film Actor' Pawan Kalyan’s Jana Sena, which was recognised as a political entity by Election Commision of India, is planning to go in for membership drive online in March.
The membership drive enables the party to contest general elections and Kalyan who raised a banner of revoltagainst the BJP on special category status to Andhra Pradesh, is all set to woo his followers and Kapu community in a meeting with a select group of people at Itchapuram in Srikakulam ditrict on January 3.
Besides focusing on state and district committees of the party, the actor is expected to discusss on the future plans besides touching upon local issues like ground water pollution. Though the party launched in March 2014 is to restart membership drive from March.
The followers are unhappy with Kalyan for quite some time for not coming up with plans to interact with people and fight for their cause which will sure enhance his winning chances. They are exerting pressure for online membership drive and it was decided to conduct the same in March.
Taking cue from Pawan Kalyan the followers have been functioning with the 'service motto' to reach out to the people in need. Jana Sena leader Sagar Babu said that the youth are eager to join the party to strenthen the hands of the actor to fight the elections and address the problems of the people.
