I belong to community of poor: N Chandrababu Naidu
Congress was responsible for the injustices done to AP: CM.
Nellore: Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu on Tuesday asserted that there were only two castes – the poor and the wealthy – and he belonged to the former. Mr Naidu said this after launching Janmabhoomi – Mavooru programme at a well-attended public meeting in Darsi constituency in Prakasam district. He attributed the vast economic disparity to the caste system and said he was determined to balance financial inequality among various castes and communities. He reiterated that the Congress was responsible for the injustice done to AP because of bifurcation and felt “profitable resources went to Telangana and expenditure remained with AP because of the unfair division”.
Special attention was being paid to save every drop of water for irrigation and crop protection. The Chief Minister promised wedding presentations (Chandranna Pellikanuka) to SCs, STs and BC as also those going in for inter-caste marriages. Digital lockers would be provided to prevent thefts and house break-ins and burglars would be arrested with the help of locked house monitoring system (LHMS), the CM said.
Ministers Sidda Raghava Rao, P. Narayana, MLCs Karanam Balaram and Jupudi Prabhakar Rao and collector V. Vinay Chand were among those present on the occasion.
