Bengaluru: Launched in the city on Wednesday, the book, "The  radical in Ambedkar," gives a different insight into the life of one the most powerful advocates of equality in modern India and a social reformer, who inspired the Dalit movement and firmly stood against the social discrimination they suffer in society.

Besides dwelling on the contributions  of  Dr  B.R Ambedkar, the speakers at the event  debated the fairness of reservation, which is provided on the basis of caste rather than an individual's economic background and examined whether it has  succeeded in improving the lot of the Dalits in the country.
