Drive To Clear Pending Traffic Challans at Discounted Rates Fetches Rs 50 Crore
Hyderabad: Telangana state police have collected around Rs 50 crore from December 26, the day from when discounts came into force to clear pending traffic challans.
With a rush to clear pending challans, officials have increased the speed of the website.
Users had complained that the website was crashing and their payments towards clearing challans were being processed. Now the officials have upgraded the bandwidth to 2.5GB speed, facilitating users with a seamless payment process.
They opined that with three more days left for the deadline and the rush to clear challans continuing, the amount generated from the drive could touch Rs 55 crore.
Officials clarified that they have not received any communication from the government on extending the date for clearing the pending challans with discounts.
