Chief Justice of India to lay stone for High Court today
According to officials, Justice Gogoi will also take part in the bhumi puja. Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu will attend the function.
Vijayawada: Chief Justice of India Ranjan Gogoi will lay the foundation stone for the construction of the permanent High Court of AP in Amaravati at 10.55 am on Sunday.
Justice Gogoi will also inaugurate the judicial complex at Nelapadu, Amaravati, which houses the temporary High Court.
According to officials, Justice Gogoi will also take part in the bhumi puja. Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu will attend the function.
Supreme Court judges Justices N.V. Ramana, L. Nageswara Rao and R. Subhash Reddy, AP High Court Acting Chief Justice C. Pravin Kumar and TS High Court Chief Justice T.B. Radhakrishnan will be present.
The proposed High Court building will have all functions of a traditional High Court under one 'Stupa' roof, creating an integrated campus and improving efficiency.
