Hyderabad: Railway employee mowed down by bus

Hyderabad: A railway employee was run over by a speeding college bus on Saturday morning in Mettuguda.
According to the police, Sri Latha, 42, was crossing the road when a Geetanjali college bus ran over her.
Gopalapuram police booked a case and started a probe.
“The bus driver, Nagesh, was driving in a rash and negligent manner while on his way to the college on Saturday morning and mowed down a woman crossing the road,” said Gopalapuram sub-inspector, G. Yugandhar Reddy, adding that the driver was taken into police custody shortly after the mishap.
Based on a complaint from Latha’s husband Mahesh, a case was booked under Section 304-A (death by negligence) of IPC and the body was shifted for post-mortem.
