Jayalalithaa drops Chinnayya from state cabinet
Tambaram municipal chairman M. Karikalan was also stripped of his Tambaram town secretary post.
Chennai: Chief Minister J. Jayalalithaa dropped animal husbandry minister T.K.M. Chinnayya from the state cabinet.
The AIADMK party supremo also took away the key post of district secretary of Kancheepuram from him as well as another minister C. Vijayabaskar, who lost the post of Pudukottai district secretary. Tambaram municipal chairman M. Karikalan was also stripped of his Tambaram town secretary post.
A press release from Raj Bhavan said, “Governor K. Rosaiah accepted the recommendation of chief minister Jayalalithaa to drop Chinnayya from the council of ministers. The governor also accepted the recommendation of CM and allocated the animal husbandry minister portfolio to social welfare minister P. Valarmathi”, release added.
