Kochi: Tenny Joppan, the former personal staff of Chief Minister Oommen Chandy, on Wednesday deposed before the solar commission that he knew Saritha S Nair, the second accused in the scam, for the past over four years and that he first met her at the CM’s office in May 2011.

However, Joppan said he had no idea of any instance when Saritha directly met Mr Chandy or talked to the CM using his mobile phone. Joppan, said he first met her when she came to the CM’s office to offer donations to the chief minister’s Distress Relief Fund.
