Bengaluru: BJP turning India into Pakistan, says Dinesh Gundu Rao
Pakistan stands for Islamic fundamentalism, while right-wingers want this country to be Hindu fanatic country.
Bengaluru: Expressing concern over growing inclination towards right wing ideology, KPCC president, Dinesh Gundu Rao, on Saturday charged the BJP with making all out efforts to convert a peace loving country into an abyss of Hindu fundamentalism.
Addressing a preparatory meeting here in the run up to Lok Sabha elections, Mr Rao charged: “The right wing's main work is to disturb pragmatic social formula that was painstakingly built by the founding fathers of our country in the last 70 years. Their only aim is to convert this country as mirror image of Pakistan. Pakistan stands for Islamic fundamentalism, while right-wingers want this country to be Hindu fanatic country. The Congress party's main aim is to defeat this ill conceived design of Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led party. At this juncture, the Congress has not set its sight on the Prime Minister's post but its aim is to defeat this ideology which will take our country into abyss of fundamentalism."
The KPCC president argued that the slogan - Jai Sri Ram - used to bring people together on a platform has turned out be hate mongering slogan ever since the BJP's birth. "How unfortunate it is to see the slogan, Jai Sri Ram, is used to lynch and kill people around us, just because they do not share our food habits. The Congress is fighting this Lok Sabha elections to assure people that the party can still live harmoniously despite our food habits ," he argued.
