Hyderabad: Tanker runs over boy, 7, returning from school
The accident occured when the boy was walking home from school on Friday evening.
Hyderabad: In another accident involving a water tanker, a seven-year-old boy returning home from school died on the spot after he came under the rear wheels of a water tanker.
The accident occured when the boy was walking home from school on Friday evening.
The victim has been identified as Kethavath Ganesh, a Class I student of Sri Vidya High School, Nandi Hills.
The incident occurred at about 3.40 pm. said Meerpet sub-inspector Sk. Mybelly said, “The boy’s father used to drop him at school in the morning while he came home walking in the evening. The water tanker (registration number AP 22 T 770) was driven by Anjaneyulu. The tanker ran over the boy’s left leg and killed him. He also sustained severe head injury.”
The Physical Education teacher Himabindu who was at the spot rushed Ganesh to a nearby hospital where he was declared brought dead. The Meerpet police has registered a case against the driver under Section 304 (a).
