Nellore: Old Video clip places YSRC MLA in a fix

Nellore: A video clip of Nellore legislator Dr. Anilkumar Yadav, recorded a year ago, has been making rounds in social media and creating a ruckus in political circles.

In a fiery speech, while addressing party cadre in January 2018, Dr. Anilkumar said that the only option before YSRC men is to kill or die to ensure that only YSRC flag flies in the state. If Jagan gives a signal, no one will survive because his soldiers are ready to sacrifice their lives for him, he said then.

Taking serious view of the speech, TD leaders demanded an explanation from the legislator on Tuesday. TD leader and NUDA chairman Kotamreddy Srinivasulu Reddy demanded to know wh-om he and his soldiers intend to kill.  

He wondered over the attitude of legislator if YSRC comes to power. Dr. Anilkumar came down heavily against TD leaders and a channel telecasting his speech repeatedly while remin-ding that the clipping dates back to January 2018.

He said his intention was to tell the cadre that they are in a do or die situation but it was misinterpreted by the TD men who allegedly edited the original clip.

He suspected the role of his TD rival, in the ensuing election, and Urban Development Minister P. Narayana in Nellore City segment behind highlighting the video.

Maintaining that his speech was to motivate the party cadre to work hard to win in the elections, he said that TD leaders have taken up the issue because of fear over impending defeat.

Speaking to mediapersons here on Tuesday, Dr. Anilkumar said that he will lodge a complaint with the Returning Officer to Nellore City segment, apart from the Superintendent of Police and Election Commission of India, over spreading the video clip in social media.

He advised the TD leaders to maintain decorum while reminding that they have never touched personal issues or highlighted many issues pertaining to Minister Narayana.
