Telangana: Aadhaar mandatory for Junior Intermediate course

Students who wish to enroll in various colleges have to submit Aadhaar card information at the time of admission without fail.

HYDERABAD: The Telangana state Board of Intermediate has announced that Aadhaar will be made mandatory for admissions into the Junior Intermediate course in the forthcoming academic year.

Students who wish to enroll in various colleges have to submit Aadhaar card information at the time of admission without fail.

According to board officials, Aadhaar information used to be collected earlier only for students who used to avail scholarships.

Other students were asked to submit Aadhaar or other documents as proof. It was not mandatory earlier for admissions, but it will be from this year onwards, they said.
