Kongu Global Forum to meet Kongu region MPs for projects
Vanitha Mohan expressed his willingness to take it up with the concerned officials at the Centre.
Coimbatore: The Kongu Global Forum (KGF) plans to meet MPs of seven districts to draw up a development agenda for the Kongu region.
The delegation led by trustees of the Kongu Global Forum (KGF) including Ms. Vanitha Mohan and C R Swaminathan, along with their members, met Nilgiris MP A Raja and submitted the representation. The delegation brought to the notice of the MP, the immediate needs of the Coimbatore region which impede its holistic development and are necessary to meet the growing demands of the future.
Vanitha Mohan said, "we emphasised the necessity of projects that should be expedited to take care of infrastructural requirements of this rapidly growing region. The MP expressed his willingness to take it up with the concerned officials at the Centre. He assured to expedite the request of the delegation to enhance the pace of infrastructure upgrade, especially with regard to roads, rail and air connectivity to facilitate the seamless movement of people and cargo to put this region on a fast track growth." She said, "the western part of Tamil Nadu has been neglected on all these fronts and this is why the KGF was formed by business leaders of the seven districts of western TN.
