AMARAVATI: A war of words has begun between the BJP and the Telugu Desam in the social media. The BJP, which is an expert in making good use of the social media like a public platform has started a war of words against the TD on the special category status and funds allotted to AP. The BJP started a negative campaign against its election ally TD by explaining about the diversion of funds and changing of central government sponsored schemes as state government schemes in the name of the CM.

The TD supporters also started counter attacks against the claims of the BJP, demanding to first give SCS as promised. The public in the social media Facebook joined the discussions and debates and the war of words became the hot subject in the social media. The BJP hardcore supporters are countering the posts of the TD against the BJP and similarly, TD supports are trying to refute the statements and posts of the BJP. But a majority of the social media members are holding the BJP and the TD responsible for the failure of SCS to AP and present protests of TD as nothing but political dramas.

Y.V. Subba Rao, state joint secretary of BJP IT Cell, posted io the Facebook, holding the Congress responsible for the absence of development in AP  for the past 60 years and claimed that numerous projects which were not allotted in the past 60 years were sanctioned by the BJP government to AP after bifurcation. He recalled that Gujarat, which was divided from the then Bombay switched into a developed state in India in the BJP rule and now BJP-led union government is trying to develop AP similarly through projects and funds.

Responding to the post, Madala Ramesh of the TD alleged about cheating the AP public with the formation of Neeti Ayog to avoid SCS and announcing projects without funds terming it as BJP’s game-plan. Former MLA and Lok Satta founder Jayapra-kash Narayan, mentioning about the claim that AP is a developed state to give SCS, said that North Andhra and Rayalaseema regions of AP are very backward areas and demanded to put special referendum to know the wishes of the public about SCS demand.

BJP leader Borugadda Bullibabu posted the newspaper clipping of the AP CM, N. Chandrababu Naidu questioning what is the use of the SCS and claimed U turnof the TD fearing about the protests of opposition. Samajika Kapunadu posted about the statement of minister for endowments P. Manikya Rao about his claim of win to TD and BJP due to campaign of cine hero Pawan Kalyan and claimed that TD got power due to 5 per cent extra votes against YSRC with the help of BJP and Pawan and if TD continues to blame BJP then TD would lose power in the next elections.
