Thiruvananthapuram: Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan on Wednesday said the state government was prepared to arrange security for PDP leader Abdul Nasser Madani to attend his son’s marriage on August 9.
In a letter, the Chief Minister urged his Karnataka counterpart Siddaramaiah to reduce huge amount demanded by Karnataka police for arranging Madani’s security. National Inves-tigation Agency (NIA) had permitted Madani who is facing trial in connection with 2008 Bangalore blast case, to meet his ailing parents.
Subsequently, the Supreme Court also allowed him to attend his sons's marriage.
