Lucknow: BJP president Amit Shah, railway minister Piyush Goyal and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will inaugurate the new Deen Dayal Upadhyaya railway station, which was earlier known as Mughalsarai, on August 5, and also address a public rally on the occasion.

Mughalsarai, an iconic railway hub in northern India, was named as Deen Dayal Upadhyaya railway station on June 5. The railways had renamed the country’s fourth busiest railway junction after BJP’s ideologue Deen Dayal Upadhyaya, following a recent request from the Uttar Pradesh government.

Mughalsarai is a part of the Chandauli Parliamentary seat which is presently held by UP BJP president Mahendra Nath Pandey. Meanwhile, the BJP also plans to install a 63-foot tall statue of Deen Dayal Upadhyaya on the Varanasi-Chandauli border and Mr Amit Shah and Yogi Adityanath will also lay the foundation stone for the construction of the platform on which the proposed statue will stand.
