Rahul Gandhi confirms visit to Hyderabad on August 13
Mr Gandhi will also meet intellectuals to share his ideas and to know their opinions.
Hyderabad: All India Congress Committee (AICC) president Rahul Gandhi will visit the city on August 13 for the first time after assuming the post. During his two-day visit, Mr Gandhi will take part in the party’s bus yatra in Rangareddy district and address in a public meeting. He will also interact with students, youth and representatives of women's organisations. Mr Gandhi will also meet intellectuals to share his ideas and to know their opinions.
TPCC president N. Uttam Kumar Reddy on Thursday said Mr Gandhi has confirmed his Hyderabad visit. He said the party chief would stay in Hyderabad on August 13 night. After participating in some programmes on the next day, Mr Gandhi would leave to Delhi in the evening, he said. Mr Uttam said if time permitted, Mr Gandhi would meet party leaders and give directions to face the general elections. TPCC sources said Mr Gandhi may also meet the editors and media heads at a dinner on August 13.
