Vijayawada: Student dies as Ambulance staff serve Governor

Vijayawada: A student died reportedly due to the non-availability of an ‘108’ ambulance as the staff was allegedly deployed to the Governor’s convoy at Raj Bhavan on Friday evening.

Reports said the student, T. Rakesh, 17, came out of SMT ITI College at Telaprolu, Unguturu mandal, after writing his exam and collapsed while trying to start his two-wheeler.

Students rushed Rakesh, a student of first year electral trade, to the local government hospital, where the staff said they were short of oxygen cylinders. They referred him to the Vijayawada Government General Hospital.
