Tamil Nadu: 4 fishermen arrested for murder

Chennai: Four fishermen were arrested by the police on charges of murdering two other fishermen in a group clash in Alampara kuppum off ECR in Kancheepuram. 

Police said Thanga Balu, Surender, Siva and Suresh were arrested on charges of murdering  Ramakrishnan 32 and Sekar 30 on Thursday night. Two fishermen died and 15 others were injured when a clash broke out between residents of the fishing hamlets near on Thursday night. 

 A few thatched huts were also set on fire by rival groups of both the hamlets after clash broke out over a disagreement among villagers over the sharing of money offered by a film crew to shoot on the beach.
