Hyderabad: Finance minister Etala Rajender on Thursday said that the state tourism sector had received a boost with the Centre sanctioning three major tourism projects under Swadesh Darshan scheme.

Replying during Question Hour, Mr Rajender said TS had bagged projects under tribal, heritage and eco circuits.

He said under the heritage circuit, Qutb Sha-hi Heritage Park, Pai-gah tombs, Hayat Bak-shi Begum Mosque and Raymond’s Tomb in the city were being developed at a cost of Rs 100 crore.

He stated that the dev-elopment of Yadadri, Vemulawada, Gadwal Jogulamba and Kondagattu Anjanna temples would make TS a top pilgrimage destination.

“Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao is keen on development of these temples. Hundre-ds of crores were never sanctioned in the budget for development of temples like Yadadri and Vemulawada. The renovation work would be completed in 2018,” Mr Rajender said.
