Telangana: Professor Kodandaram counts 3 lakh jobs
He alleged that the TRS government had failed to fulfil the aspirations of youth who fought for statehood.
Hyderabad: TJAC chairman Prof. Kodandaram said that Koluvula Kotlaata (Fight for Jobs), a protest rally with students and youth, to be held at Saroornagar from 1 pm to 6 pm on December 4, will be eye-opener for the TRS government. Prof. Kodandaram said the rally would be held peacefully with a demand for the government to announce an annual recruitment calendar to find a solution to the problem of unemployment.
He alleged that the TRS government was working for the benefit of a handful of Andhra-origin contractors, and had no concern for the jobless. He alleged that the TRS government had failed to fulfil the aspirations of youth who fought for statehood. Families of students who committed suicide due to unemployment were invited for the meeting and they will address the gathering.
“We will set up a democracy wall at the meeting venue to take feedback. Students and youth can write down their opinion on a paper on unemployment problem and paste on the wall,” Prof Kodandaram said. Prof Kodandaram said all political parties and various civil organisations had expressed their support and solidarity. While the Congress, BJP and Left have extended support, the TD came on board on Friday after Prof. Kodandaram met TS TD president L. Ramana.
“Government jobs have to increase with the creation of 21 new districts. But not even a single new job has been filled in new districts. As per our estimates, there are over 3 lakh vacancies but the CM and ministers are falsely claiming that there are only 1.08 lakh vacancies. Not even 5,000 vacancies were filled,” he said.
