Hyderabad: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu would also claim that the moon was named after him, said caretaker minister K.T. Rama Rao during #AskKTR Twitter session on Sunday.
He termed Mr Naidu’s campaign in Telangana “futile” and said, “Telangana Scamgress and TDP leaders have to find their spine.”
When a user named Charan Reddy asked Telangana Rashtra Samiti leaders to campaign against Mr Naidu in Andhra Pradesh in the coming elections as a show of strength, Mr Rao replied, “Let’s cross that bridge when we get to it.”
He also agreed that the VFX graphics of Chandrababu’s new capital city of Amaravati were better than Bahubali and Shankar’s 2.0 and said he would watch 2.0 after the polls. When asked about creation of “Andhra Rashtra Samiti” by a user Rajesh, Mr Rao said the feedback would be passed on to the party leadership.
He received a breakfast request and loads of good wishes apart from memes targeting the People’s Front. He asked people to vote for KCR as it was too late to change candidates when a user expressed dissatisfaction over the Karimnagar candidate and wished Harish Rao wins in Siddipet with one lakh majority.
He welcomed the support of the Jana Sena and said that the major difference of this election from the previous one was the desperation of the Opposition. He called former Congress MP Lagadapati Rajagopal’s survey (which said 8-10 independents would win who could decide the fate of the elections) a “joke” and said, “His antics didn’t stop Telangana when he was in Parliament. His fake surveys won’t do squat.”
When asked about KCR’s strategy for the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, Mr Rao said, “Let’s tackle 7th Dec first and then plan.” Deflecting questions related to women’s representation in the TRS, Mr Rama Rao said, “Telangana is already considered a role model in women’s safety. She teams, She shuttles and a host of other measures. Will continue to get better.” He laughed at several memes against the People’s Front.
When asked by one RamaKrishna how he would bring more transparency to governance especially in spending taxpayers’ money, Mr Rao replied, “Bring in more process-oriented acts like TS-iPASS.”
One Mr Sattaiah asked, “Since you are everywhere at the past Telangana government, Frankly respond to my question. Do you justify the public debt & huge borrowings for the sake of development that is hypothesises,”(sic). Mr Rao replied: “When you invest in capital asset creation, it will pay off. You have to look at investments in productive sectors as investments into fuelling further growth.”
While he said unemployment allowance is “an interim solution till one finds a job” he said both training and an allowance are needed. He also said, “We have approved 1.09 lakh jobs and issued notifications for 87,000 and completed recruitment of 38,000.”
