Cops warn all banks of action on security
Any bank and its officials found violating the orders will be prosecuted as per law says C.V. Anand.
Hyderabad: The Cyberabad police has warned banks of prosecution if they do not take security measures at their buildings and ATMs in the next two weeks. The police is also planning a drive to check ATM security.
On Wednesday police issued notices to all banks listing out the security measures needed. The notice described the security measures as guards with licensed guns round the clock, HD night vision CCTV cameras with storage capacity of three months' footage, alarm with sensor system to detect attacks, magnetic locks for buildings and ATMs. “Police commissioner C.V. Anand has given time till February 15 to all banks to comply with the direction,” the notice said. “Any bank and its officials found violating the orders will be prosecuted as per law,” the release said.
