Railways to hawkers: Accept card payments
Umashankar Kumar said 20 per cent of passengers have already gone cashless.

Hyderabad: Inspired by the cashless payment system adopted in the Kacheguda railway station, the railway ministry has decided to project digital payment system as a pilot project in 25 railway stations in India.
South Central Railways GM Vinod Kumar Yadav said this system was launched in Kacheguda railway station on February 28 after convincing hawkers at the station to adopt cashless payments. CPRO M. Umashankar Kumar said 20 per cent of passengers have already gone cashless.
