University of Hyderabad officials' masterplan for animals

UoH administration has prepared a Master Plan' to concentrate on the main challenges they are facing in protecting wildlife.

Hyderabad: After recent deaths of wildlife at campus of the University of Hyderabad, Telangana forest officials met Vice Chancellor Appa Rao, Pro-Chancellor Vipin Srivastava, wildlife activists as well the chief wildlife warden on the campus on Friday.

UoH administration has prepared a ‘Master Plan’ to concentrate on the main challenges they are facing in protecting wildlife on the campus. The UoH campus is very huge and there are a lot of people trying to trespass into the university.

Chief conservative of forests, S. Kukerety, said, “A beginning has been made and the forest department is looking forward to a partnership with the university administration in protecting wildlife and also making the university a ‘biodiversity hub’.”
