Hyderabad: All ex-servicemen from the three defence streams are advised to link their Aadhaar card details with their bank accounts to help avoid pension issues, says the Sainik Welfare Board.

Recently, a former Army officer from the city of  Noida, complained that his pension had stopped because his Aadhaar was not linked to his bank. The complaint is under investigation. In the wake of this, ex-servicemen are advised to link their details.

“Retired servicemen are advised to link their Aadhar numbers to their pension accounts and also provide a valid  mobile number.  In case of any technical problem, the Sainik Welfare Board, bank and the pension office board can reach out to the complaint based on the contact details provided. This is because in many cases, the concerned parties are unable to contact the pensioners due to lack of contact details,” suggested officials from the Telangana Sainik Welfare board.
