Karnataka: AAP has zero tolerance towards corruption, says Kejriwal
He appealed to the voters of Karnataka to install the AAP government in the State
Bengaluru: Stating that his Aam Aadmi Party (AAM) is ‘strictly a honest political party’ having 'zero tolerance' to corruption, the Delhi Chief Minister stated that ‘even if my son indulges in corruption then he will also be sent to jail’ and wanted Prime Minister Narendra Modi to take lessons from AAP on honesty.
Addressing the party workers meeting in Davangere of Karnataka, Keriwal told Prime Minister Narendra Modi who had reportedly stated to the people to be cautious about the ‘strict honest’ party (AAP), Kejriwal said, “Yes, we are honest. You are of high stature and you should not be jealous of AAP over its growth in the country.”
"It is only the AAP leaders who with pride can say to build high quality schools and hospitals and not even the Prime Minister can say on building high quality schools and hospitals,' Kejriwal said and observed that the Prime Minister does not know "How to build high quality schools and hospitals?"
He appealed to the voters of Karnataka to install the AAP government in the State in the ensuing Assembly poll in the State and in comparison to the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) government in Karnataka, Kejriwal said “Unlike the accusations of 40 per cent government of BJP in Karnataka, AAP government will be a zero commission government.”
Pointing out instances where his party has dealt with wrong doers (MLA), Keriwal said a Minister in Punjab government was sent to jail over his misconduct and another MLA was also put behind bars over his misconduct.
He wanted voters to reject the double engine government (BJP in State and Centre) and recalled a statement by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in 2018 wherein he had accused the previous Congress government in Karnataka of indulging in 20 per cent commission.
Keriwal stated that with the double engine government, in State and in Centre, the commission has also doubled in Karnataka from 20 per cent to 40 per cent under BJP rule in Karnataka.
He cautioned voters that if re-elected, the BJP would take the commission level to 60 per cent in its next tenure and 100 per cent in coming years of power.
“Karnataka made news at the national level for all wrong reasons,” Kejriwal said and stated “Everything is on sale in Karnataka such as PSI posts, lecturers posts among others? Continuing, he said, lecturers' posts are on sale for Rs 25 lakh and wondered “What will he teach the students?”
Over the BJP rule, Kerjiwal stated “What kind of government is this? Shameful.” He said about Rs 20,000 crore has been spent on road repair in Bengaluru city but “I wonder not even 20 potholes have been repaired and money gone into their pockets.”
“We are giving free power, medicine, schooling and medical operations in Delhi,” he said and stated that Delhi government financial condition is in healthy condition but in Karnataka the government is in Rs 3 lakh crore debt without giving any for free. “
Kejriwal assured the farmers to waive off pending farm loans, of voted to power, minimum support price for their produce and farmers problems will be resolved amicably and a situation does not arise for farmers to borrow loans and also assured the voters of Karnataka to give quality schools, employment and until youths get jobs an amount of Rs 3,000 would be provided among others.
Earlier, Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwanth Singh Mann asked voters of Karnataka to reject Janata Dal Secular, Congress party and BJP and termed these parties as ‘chor’ (thieves).”
