Congress manifesto bundle of lies: C T Ravi
Ravi said Siddaramaiah does not want the Kumaraswamy government to continue after the Lok Sabha elections.
Bengaluru: State BJP general secretary and former minister C.T. Ravi termed the Congress manifesto which was released on Wednesday as a ‘bundle of lies’ and an election gimmick.
Speaking to reporters here on Wednesday, Mr Ravi said the Gandhi dynasty has misled the country with its Garibi Hatao slogan. This slogan has been used by the Congress to grab votes all these years but it will not work this time, he quipped.
Mr Ravi also claimed the Congress party is a sinking ship and so AICC President Rahul Gandhi had chosen Wayanad as his second seat after Amethi as he fears defeat in the Gandhi family turf. Mr Gandhi choose a seat in the south for his personal gain and not for any other reason, the BJP leader asserted.
Mr Ravi also said the Congress party is known for humiliating party leaders from the South India who included Neelam Sanjeeva Reddy, Devaraj Urs and S Nijalingappa. The Congress had also ensured JD(S) supremo H.D. Deve Gowda’s exit from the PM post by withdrawing support, he recalled.
Claiming that former CM and Congress leader Siddaramaiah has set a ‘time bomb’ for the H.D. Kumaraswamy government in the state. Ravi said Siddaramaiah does not want the Kumaraswamy government to continue after the Lok Sabha elections.
