Visakhapatnam: Vuda central park to get new attractions
Animal kingdom and waterfalls to adorn the public place
Visakhapatnam: The Vuda City Central Park will have new attractions to entertain visitors. Vuda vice-chairman T. Baburao Naidu announced that waterfalls and animal kingdom would be coming up in the park.
During his inspection to the park during morning walk on Tuesday, the vice-chairman directed the officials to add these two new facilities in the park.
Observing that the park does not have any major attraction and finding a vast area vacant, Mr Baburao Naidu instantly generated the idea of creating artificial waterfalls, making use of the 12-feet pylon base available there.
He asked superintendent engineer M. Appanna and executive engineer V. Bhavani Shankar to design the waterfalls with granite and see that water falls from a boat on the top. Dolphins will also be appearing in the boat. This unique and scenic waterfall will entertain the visitors, he said.
Further, the vice-chairman directed DFO B. Raja Rao to materialise the creation of animal kingdom with green concept. The animal park will exist beside the Bonsai Area in which models of the animals will be framed with iron mesh and a green cover with creepers will add to their shapes. Animals and birds that are mostly liked by people of all age groups such as elephant, rabbit, peacock and others would be carved out, the vice-chairman said.
The park already has a central plaza fountain and a musical fountain, for which work is in progress. Mr Baburao Naidu asked the officials to complete the waterfalls as early as possible and enable inauguration by Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, during his next visit to Visakhapatnam.
The vice-chairman said the park will be opened stage wise as and when a component gets ready, instead of waiting for completion of all the works. The officials were directed to give priority to maintain greenery and cleanliness.
