Hyderabad: Osmania junior doctors have demanded that there be a fee regulation in private medical colleges. The junior doctors association, in a statement, requested the government to stop the fee hike in private medical colleges.

Association general secretary Dr. Ch. Anusha said, “The fee for studying in post graduate courses such as MD/MS is hiked in both convener quota and management quota. The fee hike is of Rs 3.2 lakh to Rs 12 lakh in convener quota while the management quota fee has been hiked from Rs 5.8 lakh to Rs 25 lakh.”

She added, “If the fee is hiked, then it will be a major problem to many students. Also the private colleges charge heavily for management quota students.”
