8 candidates in Kundagol, 17 in Chincholi

Bengaluru: The stage is set for the peaceful conduct of the by-elections to two Assembly constituencies in Karnataka-Chincholi and Kundagol on May 19, said state Chief Electoral Officer Sanjeev Kumar.
Talking to reporters here on Friday, he said there are eight candidates in the fray in Kundagol and 17 in Chincholi assembly segments. Electronic Voting Machines and VVPat will be used in all polling booths. Around 7.09 per cent persons are first time voters in both constituencies.
