Even Mr Naidu became emotional but maintained his composure and consoled them. He said that he will continue his mission for the welfare of the people.
Addressing public during a road show at Gudipalli, Mr Naidu said that he is indebted to the people of Kuppam constituency while referring to his victory from the segment for seven times in succession. He told them not to lose their heart because the party is in opposition.
The former CM said that people in the state are now regretting over TD’s defeat. He made it clear that they will head forward notwithstanding the election results.
He recalled as to how they worked to strengthen the state financially, for the benefit of people, despite difficulties after unscientific bifurcation.
He said that they gave water first to Pulivendula and then only to other areas through Handri– Neeva project. The former CM promised to put all his efforts to bring Handri-Neeva water to Kuppam. He lamented over the TD rout in Rayalaseema in spite of bringing water to the region apart from Kia Motors, to generate employment opportunities for the youth.
Claiming that there were no attacks on any partymen during the TD regime, he expressed concern over the assaults on TD workers by YSRC men. He assured to protect the partymen and stage protests wherever attacks take place.
Stressing that they would work for the welfare of the people, even when they are in Opposition, Mr Naidu maintained that TD’s existence is a historic necessity. He said that he is going to form 13 teams to find out the ordeals of the party workers.
