Coimbatore: Delivering the key note address at the 3rd ‘Fostering Community’ programme jointly organised by Vitae International Accounting Services P Ltd, in partnership with Jethro Educational Trust, Dr. Daniel Victor, managing director of the firm and founding trustee, talked of how to deal with disabled persons empathetically.
Dr Daniel, drawing from his own experience of raising cerebral palsy affected son Jethro, pointed out the immense talents that children with disabilities possess but which require an unusual quality of sacrificial love and patient commitment to draw them out.
Mr. Chandrasekhar, the district differently-abled welfare officer educated the audience on the welfare schemes that are implemented by the state government for the differently-abled persons. Ms. Deepa Malini, founding trustee of Autism and ‘Beyond’ a city-based centre that specializes in the development of autistic children, participated.
