Amaravati: N Chandrababu Naidu urged to shift to temporary Secretariat

The ministers and government officials are attending the meetings which brought alacrity at the temporary Secretariat.

Amaravati: Shifting of AP CM’s off-ice to the temporary Secretariat at Velagapudi was sought by the locals.

The public of Amaravati capital region, mainly pooled farmers, are seeking full functioning of the temporary Secretariat Interim Government Complex. AP finance minister Yanamala Ramakrishunudu conducted review meetings with various departments from September 1 to 3 in his chambers at Velagapudi.

The ministers and government officials are attending the meetings which brought alacrity at the temporary Secretariat.

Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu announced that he would shift to the temporary Secretariat in August last week but in vain. Hence, the people of the region are seeking Mr Naidu to shift to the temporary Secretariat, which would force other departments to start work from there.

As many as 18 ministers have started their chambers in the two, three, fourth and fifth blocks of the temporary Secretariat, but no minister, except Mr Rama-krishnudu started working from their chambers.

All the ground floors of the four blocks were ready and a few chambers in the first floor are under modification.

The works of the temporary Secretariat were started on February 17 and it was targeted to be completed by June 15, but later the target was extended to June 23, then to June 27 and further to various dates in July and August.

M. Naidu himself inspecting the temporary Secretariat works and announced thatr he would start working from temporary Secretariat but failed to do so.

Welcoming the series of the meetings from September 1 to 3 in the temporary Secretariat, pooled farmers K. Appa Rao, P. Narendra and others said that if the CM himself starts working from Velagapudi, then the minsters and all departments will automatically shift and start working from there.

They appealed to Mr Naidu to shift to the temporary Secretariat to speed up the works.
