Korean artist visits Mandadam
Jeong Ja Seo visited ancient inscription belong to Kakatiya dynasty at Mandadam of Amaravati Capital Region on Sunday.
Guntur: Famous South Korean artist and official representative of Korean Fine Arts Association Jeong Ja Seo visited ancient inscription belong to Kakatiya dynasty at Mandadam of Amaravati Capital Region on Sunday.
She praised the efforts of the government and other organisations towards protecting the ancient Indian heritage and culture which reveals the rich Indian tradition and art.
Cultural Centre of Vijayawada and Amaravati CEO Dr E. Sivanagi Reddy said that the art exhibition of Jeong Ja Seo is undergoing at Vijayawada and she was interested to visit the ancient places hence came to Mandadam.
Mr Reddy explained about the construction of inscription and a temple at Mandadam by Rani Rudrama Devi, the daughter of Kakatiya emperor Ganapati Deva, and said that Rudrama Devi celebrated her birthday at Mandadam on 25 March 1262 AD.
He said that the Visweswara temple, a hospital and educational institute were also constructed at at Mandadam.
