Secretariat has no Andhra Pradesh address
All Secretariat departments in Hyderabad are closed and all the rooms locked.
Vijayawada: After the shifting of Secretariat departments from Hyderabad to temporary Secretariat at Velagapudi in the capital region, almost all departments have lost communication with Central government departments, other state governments and important institutions at the national level.
Generally if any government shifts its administration from one place to other, it has to issue a gazette notification informing a new address for communication to all Central government departments and others.
But, the state government did not issue any such gazette notification after shifting the administration from Hyderabad to Velagapudi. At present, all the Central government departments and other institutions are making correspondence with AP Secretariat departments on Hyderabad Secretariat address.
At present, all Secretariat departments in Hyderabad are closed and all the rooms locked. If any communication comes from the Centre or from any other institutions to the Hyderabad Secretariat address, there is noone to receive and send that to Velagapudi.
Senior officials of the AP government said once the government issues such a notification, it would lose all right on AP Secretariat buildings.
