Attack on CPM, YM leaders' houses

According to police, assailants came in three motorbikes and vandalised the house.

The two-wheeler parked at the house of CPM leader Suresh Changadam destroyed at Payyoli on Wednesday.

Kozhikode: Houses of Yuvamorcha and CPM leaders came under attack within minutes in Vadakara and Payyoli in the wee hours of Wednesday. But police said that the two have no connection.

The house of Yuvamorcha Vadakara Mandalam general secretary K.V. Nidhin at Arakkilad in Vadakara was attacked with steel bombs around 2 am, destroying its front portion. The door and window panes were destroyed entirely, but no one suffered injury.

Minutes later, the house of CPM Payyoli area committee member Suresh Changadam at Purakkad in Payyoli came under attack from a group of unidentified men.

According to police, assailants came in three motorbikes and vandalised the house.

The scooter parked on the porch has also been attacked. No one has sustained injuries. CPM alleged that BJP was behind the attack. The area had witnessed clashes between both parties recently. BJP alleged that CPM masterminded the attack on the house of Mr Nidhin.

Kozhikode rural police said there was no connection with both the incidents which are at the primary stage of an investigation.
