PMK will launch stir condemning fuel price hike

The agitation would be held in all the district headquarters across the state.

Chennai: The PMK will stage an agitation on Oct. 5 condemning the Central government for not reining in the spiralling prices of petrol and diesel.

 The agitation would be held in all the district headquarters across the state. 

In a statement here on Wednesday PMK president G. K. Mani said in Tindivanam the agitation would be led by PMK founder leader Dr. S. Ramadoss and in Chennai he and former union minister A K Murthy will participate.

“People should be apprised about the impact of the hike in petrol and diesel prices and they too should be exhorted to take part in the protest,” a party release said. 

The price of petrol today in Tamil Nadu is Rs 87.18 and diesel Rs 79.58 (per litre).
