Hyderabad: The Association of Private Degree College Managements has decided to boycott the first semester exams of undergraduate students expected to start in December if the TS government does not release the fee reimbursement dues by then. In October, the managements had conducted a flash strike resulting in postponement of a few degree supplementary exams after which the government assured them that the money would be released.
Mr Gowri Satish, association joint secretary, said the government had released only Rs 258 crore whereas the dues amounted to more than Rs 2,000 crore. He said most of the money had been distributed among engineering colleges.
