Hyderabad: Sleeping pillion rider dies after fall

The woman has been identified as Anna Purna, a resident of Banjara Hills.

Hyderabad: A 43-year-old woman succumbed to injuries on Saturday she had sustained after falling from a bike on Thursday. According to Sanathnagar police, the woman was travelling her husband when she fell asleep and fell off from the two-wheeler.

The woman has been identified as Anna Purna, a resident of Banjara Hills.

According to the police, the victim along with her husband visited their relative’s house in Kukatpally and was returning home at night. 

Sanathnagar sub-inspector Venkat Reddy, said, “On their way home,   she accidentally fell from the bike near Erragadda flyover and sustained severe head injury. The passers-by immediately took her to NIMS hospital.”

The Sanathnagar police registered a case under section 304 (a) causing death by negligence and further investigation is on. 

The police handed over the body to the family after autopsy at Gandhi Hospital.
