Hyderabad: Nearly half of the 119 legislators declared elected on Sunday are first-timers, indicating both anti-incumbency and the fresh winds of change blowing across the state.

Of these, 34 are from the Congress, nine from the BRS, six from the BJP while three legislators are from the AIMIM.

However, some of them like Kotha Prabhakar Reddy, Palla Rajeshwar Reddy, Padi Kaushik Reddy and K. Premsagar Rao, among others, were earlier elected as MPs and MLCs.

Meanwhile, the 26-year-old Mamidala Yashaswini Reddy, elected from Palakurthi constituency, is the youngest of the lot. This also marks her political baptism.
